Cornerstone 2008

hmm...what can I say to describe Cornerstone??? It can be a hard thing to tell someone about if they have never experienced it. I'll try my best...
the place where thousands of people come together for one reason...music.
the great thing is that the music is usually trying to glorify God. It's five days of very primitive camping, johnny-on-the-spots, dirty feet, dust in your eyes, crazy looking people, golf carts, eating anything in a tortilla, late nights with mewithoutyou, mohawks, tatoos, hot tents, etc... If that doesn't sound like fun, then what does???
This was Michaels fifth year, my fourth, and Anne's first. We were very excited to take her and a little nervous to see how she'd do on the 16 hour drive. Much to our delight, she did awesome! We were so proud of her. We actually took my parents camper to make the camping part a little easier on her (and me!) Everything went very smooth. We pulled Anne in her wagon to every seminar/concert that we wanted to go to with lots of snacks and water. Needless to say we had a great week, but are glad to be home. God is so good, all the time!!!

Tea Time Part 2

A few weeks ago we had a girls shopping trip in downtown Hattiesburg, and we had a BLAST! We started our day with lunch at Walnut Circle Grill, then to Mainstreet Books (which is my new favorite book store.) We ended our day with a trip to the tea shop...it was so awesome!!! If you're a girl, you would definitely love this place...here are a few pics of our time there.

Summer Happenings...

So...I know I have not been too good at updating since summer came, but it has been CRAZY! I don't really know what we did for the first two weeks of summer but I haven't had time to really think. This week I got all four of my wisdom teeth removed; which ended up being impacted and complicated. I'm thinking that means it's gonna be a hard recovery...which it kinda has been. I've pretty much been asleep for the past four days. Anyway...my goal is to get some pictures posted soon, but i just felt the need to write something tonight. Hope everyone is doing well!

Fun times at Gran and Dink's

Yesterday we went to Gran and Dink's. They haven't seen Anne since Easter, so they couldn't wait for us to get there. Dink had a swing hung outside for Anne, and she LOVED it!!! It was so hot, but she didn't want to get out...and when she did she tried to get back in. We also discovered that Anne loves cornbread and milk. She practically pulled the cup out of my hand and started drinking the milk...it was so funny!
Anne laughing so hard when she thought she knocked over daddy.

Yummy cornbread and milk!

The Wedding

So Renee and Jeff finally tied the knot this past weekend. It was supposed to be in our backyard but was moved to the church because of the threat of rain. I'm really glad it ended up there because it was so hot and muggy outside. It turned out beautiful!
