And in the end, it's not the years in your life that count. It's the life in your years.-Abraham Lincoln
Christmas is in the air and I've caught the spirit! I'm so excited about Christmas this year. I guess it started with our tradition of putting up the Christmas tree the day after Thanksgiving. It was so pretty with all of the ornaments we've collected (some since Michael's birth, ha!) Now, they have worked their way up to the top half of the tree since Anne likes to play with them a little too much! (I'll post a picture of this soon!)
Just to update you on what's going on with us...
Michael has finally finished with his master's and is contemplating a doctoral program in technology in education...I'm still teaching at Nora Davis Magnet school in Laurel and thinking about starting my master's...in something...not sure. I have just finished reading the Twilight saga...which was AMAZING! I'm thinking of rereading soon.
Anne is changing almost everyday. She is starting to talk a lot more finally and sooo independent! She loves to play chase around the house and loves her pappy (passy) which we thought we had gotten rid of ....oh well. She loves to sing with me and her daddy to play the guitar. She hates bedtime; I think she would stay up all night if she could. Some of her favorite foods are goldfish, dried apples, yogurt, animal crackers, chicken nuggets, peas, oatmeal, eggs, mashed potatoes, and pretty much anything sweet. We are really enjoying her and all of her little quirks!

South MS Fair
Anne's first trip to the fair was great! She would have ridden anything we put her on if it wasn't for that little height rule! ahahaha! We definitely had a blast riding the carousel, though! Granny and Papa came with us which made for a fabulous time...thanks Granny and Papa!
Anne wasn't too keen on all of the animals, guess she takes after her momma in that department!

Happy Fall...
So, this past Sunday our church went to Mitchell Farms Pumpkin Patch. As we rode down HWY 84 I wondered if we would ever make there riding on the old school/church bus with John driving and taking every left turn and having to turn around until we took the right one. Oh the fun times!!!!
No, it really was a blast! Anne had a great time even with NO NAP! All of our awesome friends were there and it was great. Anne especially loved the merry-go-round with the bike looking things...and climbing on the monkey bars.
We actually do have more pictures that I'll post later. Michael got lost in the corn maze along with our camera, so the actual pumpkin patch photos are on Granny's camera!

so...we meet again
So, I know it's been a long time since I last posted. No excuse is good, but things have been so busy since school started. Here are some recent photos from our trip to visit Starkville and our family reunion! These have been two great weekends! To update on Anne: She is a little ball of constant energy! She loves anything to do with being outside and is just keeping us on our toes! We are loving every minute!

Summer happenings and back to school...
I've not been to good about updating during the summer...you would think I had lots of time on my hands. Well we have actually been rather busy this summer--but all stuff we wanted to do, of course.
Anne has been such a joy! Michael and I have had the best time being home with her this summer. She is learning so much so fast!!! Everyday she is making new sounds and doing new tricks. Some of the latest:
17 and 1/2 months old and weighs 24 pounds...
Likes: talking...I just wish we could understand it all, anything to do with outside, balls, sitting in grown up chairs, sitting on the potty (but not using it!), swimming in the bathtub, taking off her diaper, playing chase, singing/doing the motions to patty cake, itsy bitsy spider, wheels on the bus, riding her rocking horse, playing with any kind of remote, opening dvd cases, playing with other children, CLIMBING on everything!
Dislikes: getting anything taken away from her, the word NO, anyone leaving(without her), eating healthy food...this one is about to get me down, getting out of the bathtub, going to bed, I'm sure there are more, but I'm having trouble thinking right now.
Here are a few of my favorite recent pictures of us...

Cornerstone 2008
hmm...what can I say to describe Cornerstone??? It can be a hard thing to tell someone about if they have never experienced it. I'll try my best...
the place where thousands of people come together for one reason...music.
the great thing is that the music is usually trying to glorify God. It's five days of very primitive camping, johnny-on-the-spots, dirty feet, dust in your eyes, crazy looking people, golf carts, eating anything in a tortilla, late nights with mewithoutyou, mohawks, tatoos, hot tents, etc... If that doesn't sound like fun, then what does???
This was Michaels fifth year, my fourth, and Anne's first. We were very excited to take her and a little nervous to see how she'd do on the 16 hour drive. Much to our delight, she did awesome! We were so proud of her. We actually took my parents camper to make the camping part a little easier on her (and me!) Everything went very smooth. We pulled Anne in her wagon to every seminar/concert that we wanted to go to with lots of snacks and water. Needless to say we had a great week, but are glad to be home. God is so good, all the time!!!
